GE MultiNet-FE is an industrial hardened Modbus communication gateway developed by GE Vernova (GE Multilin). The MultiNet-FE converter translates Modbus RTU signals over RS485 to Modbus TCP/IP, connecting legacy serial Modbus IEDs, protection relays and power meters to modern Ethernet LAN/WAN networks. Equipped with dual 10BaseT copper and 10BaseF fiber ports, the MultiNet-FE delivers reliable long-distance communication with superior EMI immunity, widely deployed in power substations, utility automation and industrial SCADA systems. This GE MultiNet-FE communication module supports up to 32 RS485 Modbus slave devices and enables simultaneous access from multiple SCADA master hosts.
