The Woodward 5233-2089 is the ProTech 203 series TMR turbine overspeed protection module developed by Woodward, a world-leading brand for turbomachinery control systems. Woodward 5233-2089 receives three independent MPU magnetic pickup speed signals, calculates rotational speed and acceleration separately via built-in hardware circuits, and adopts 2oo3 voting logic to realize reliable turbine overspeed trip protection. Woodward 5233-2089 is independent of the turbine governor system, serving as a dedicated safety protection device for steam turbines, gas turbines and generator sets to prevent overspeed damage during unit operation.

Woodward 5233-2089 integrates local display panel and operation keys. Operators can view real-time speed value, configure overspeed threshold, check fault alarm records and trip event history locally. Woodward 5233-2089 supports passive or active MPU signal input, and comes with 3 sets of Form C redundant trip relays. The module can record trip causes and event logs for post-fault analysis, widely applied in thermal power plants, oil & gas industry, CHP cogeneration stations and industrial turbomachinery safety retrofit projects.
